Consultation

Engineering consultation is a necessity for businesses or agencies seeking to timely achieve a desired technical result with a high level of precision. Our engineering professionals save said entities time, money and effort by applying their skills, knowledge and experience to accurately advise them on how best to achieve the desired result. For example, a real estate developer or architect would consult with an engineering professional during the ‘feasibility phase’ of a major building rehabilitation project to study the likelihood of the existing electrical or mechanical infrastructure to support the initiative; an industrial plant or data center manager may would consult an electrical engineering professional before adding new server racks and related IT equipment or new power generation or distribution equipment such as generators, transformers or circuit breakers; an insurance adjuster may consult a mechanical or electrical engineering professional to perform forensics study to determine the root cause of failure on a damaged equipment such as cooling tower, chillers, wind turbines or solar panels prior to issuing payment to the insured. We offer engineering consultation as part of our services to our clients.

It is important to carefully research the expertise of the engineering consultant you seek to hire depending on the tasks at hands, as the area of practice for engineering is vast.  For example, as one would not hire a dermatologist to perform open heart surgery, one would not hire or consult with a structural engineer to perform power systems studies (electrical engineers’ tasks) or to devise solutions for heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (mechanical engineers’ tasks) or and vice versa. Our engineering expertise rests in the domain of electrical and mechanical systems.

Design

Engineering design is a complex process by which engineers apply the ‘physical laws and principles of engineering’ within the constraints of industry codes, standards and local rules and regulations to concoct solutions addressing specific requirements of a client. Design in engineering itself comprises many systems; too many to list here and for any one person or company to master all.  Our expertise in the engineering design and consultation focuses solely on the following systems: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and fire alarm systems commonly referred to simply as MEP systems.

Each of the systems mentioned above can be designed for many applications. Some of the most common applications we cater for include building services, industrial, and transportation infrastructure.
